White wine

Description

created “the year of the heatwave”. The earliest harvests since 1893, which result in a rapid concentration of sugars. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
The nose is fine and classy, mainly apricot, but also candied lemon, acacia honey, some spicy notes and a very present botrytis.
The attack on the palate is sweet, the liquor is light and the acidity is well noted. The balance is superb.
The finish, highlighted by a slight bitterness, gives the whole a certain distinction. Exceptional finesse!

Know a bit more about the domain

In the 17th century, the magistrates of the Bordeaux parliament discovered the potential of the great terroirs of the Left Bank of the Garonne. Advisor Rabaud then created a 60 Ha vineyard south of the Ciron, a famous tributary of the Garonne.
In 1832, the Guide Jullien (reference guide of the time) ranked the quality of Rabaud's production at the level of that of Yquem and Rayne Vigneau. Then, during the classification of 1855, at the same time as the châteaux Latour, Haut Brion, etc., Rabaud was elevated to the rank of 1er cru.
Equipped with a solid scientific background, Laure de Lambert Compeyrot is today general manager of the property embodying the sixth generation at Sigalas Rabaud since 1863. The Estate obtained the highest level of “High Environmental Value” certification in 2016.
