Domaine Yves Cuilleron - Le Lombard - 2023 - Saint-Joseph

White wine

Description

The nose offers a complex aromatic palette, with notes of white flowers, dried fruits and a touch of roasting.
On the palate, it is round and fleshy, with a beautiful freshness and a spicy bitterness which prolongs the finish.

Know a bit more about the domain

Domaine Cuilleron today covers 77 hectares of several Rhone appellations, from Saint-Péray to Côte Rôtie, including Saint Joseph and Condrieu. Originally, Yves Cuilleron studied mechanical engineering, before spending his military service with several Alsatian and Burgundian winegrowers. These various encounters will undoubtedly push the man to take over the family estate of Chavanay (3.5 hectares) in 1987. Very quickly, the winemaker thinks big and buys a myriad of abandoned plots, still affordable at the time. . The style of the wines is now widely asserted: beautiful maturity supported by serious oak. In Saint Joseph, the Les Serines vintage will delight lovers of lace Syrah.
