Selection cellar Maison des Millésimes Paris
This “Pigalle” cuvée from Marius Bielle, in collaboration with Nicolas Roux, is a real oddity in what Bordeaux wines can offer. This infusion of Malbec, harvested at perfect maturity, offers a wine with aromas of ripe fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry). On the palate the wine is luscious, like a fruit nectar. It's a little jammy but without the sugar, and rather with a nice balance thanks to a slight acidity. A very successful and surprising “glug-glug” wine, without the addition of yeast or sulphur.

Marius, born in a small village in the Ariège Pyrenees, he dreamed of being a teacher but he turned out to be a winegrower, perpetuating for three generations an authentic winegrower's know-how, with the greatest respect for their environment. The culmination of a simple life. Crus de garde scented like old roses, unaware of fashion and its whims but in love with rib steak with vine shoots and healthy earthly foods.
This terroir intends to tell you more about classicism, peasant elegance of a blessed era when Bordeaux was synonymous with "drinkability" as we say now.
Refusing to give in to the sirens of productivism in the 1960s, the Marius vineyard has known neither herbicides nor chemical fertilizers.
