Domaine Yves Cuilleron - Madinière - 2022 - Côte-Rôtie

Red wine

Description

The nose reveals a juicy and peppery side, typical of Syrah, with notes of stewed black fruits.
The palate is fresh, ample and fleshy. The balance of fruit and tannins allows for a great tasting when young, but the freshness and tannins promise a good future at 10 years or more.

Know a bit more about the domain

Domaine Cuilleron today covers 77 hectares of several Rhone appellations, from Saint-Péray to Côte Rôtie, including Saint Joseph and Condrieu. Originally, Yves Cuilleron studied mechanical engineering, before spending his military service with several Alsatian and Burgundian winegrowers. These various encounters will undoubtedly push the man to take over the family estate of Chavanay (3.5 hectares) in 1987. Very quickly, the winemaker thinks big and buys a myriad of abandoned plots, still affordable at the time. . The style of the wines is now widely asserted: beautiful maturity supported by serious oak. In Saint Joseph, the Les Serines vintage will delight lovers of lace Syrah.
