Description

As a premier cru, the Montagny 1er Cru represents an improvement in quality over the ordinary wines of the village of Montagny. Premier Cru vineyards are classified as such because of their superior terroir and wines produced from these vineyards often exhibit more complexity, depth and aging potential.

Originally from Montagny, but not from the wine world, Stéphane ALADAME created his own estate in 1992.

The first (micro) harvest in 1992 was 1800 bottles produced on a plot of 28 ares.
The year 1993, with the takeover of 2 ha of Montagny 1er Cru, marked the real start of the estate.
Gradually, the estate grew by taking over vines and plantations to reach nearly 8 hectares today (including 7 hectares in Montagny 1er crus).
