Description

This biodynamic orange wine is of exceptional concentration, the ultimate consecration of Zibibbo by Gabrio Bini. The nagging winds of the island and this terroir of volcanic rocks on which these centuries-old vines hang produce fruits of rare concentration with intense wild and complex stone fruit aromas that seem to last forever. An explosive bouquet on the attack reveals notes of ginger, apricot which blend with a disconcerting minerality opening up to a saline and refreshing finish. A pure moment of gustatory happiness, unique in the world.
In vinification: the grapes are 100% destemmed and then long maceration. Then comes an aging in amphorae with indigenous yeasts, zero input and zero fining or filtration.

Former architect, his creativity and vision led him to develop wines of incomparable taste from old bush vines on the volcanic island of Pantelleria located between Tunisia and Sicily. Its unique expressions of local Zibibbo, Pignatello and Catarratto grapes, all fermented in terracotta amphorae buried in the vines, are the work of a magician whose rare and expensive bottles are snatched up around the world.
