Selection cellar Maison des Millésimes Paris
The color reveals a beautiful deep ruby, enlivened by purple highlights that reflect both youth and concentration.
The nose is expressive, complex, and refined. It opens with aromas of jammy strawberries, both sweet and warm, accompanied by delicate floral notes, reminiscent of violet or faded rose. On the second nose, more evolved touches of supple leather and blond tobacco bring a beautiful aromatic depth, already signaling interesting potential for evolution.
The palate is dense, with a beautiful tannic structure that perfectly frames the body. The overall effect remains harmonious, with a full and silky texture. The richness of the 2019 vintage is evident, bringing concentration and generosity, while maintaining good balance.
A sunny, powerful, and still in reserve vintage. It will gain in complexity and elegance with age. It is recommended to wait 4 to 8 years to allow the tannins to blend and the tertiary aromas to fully develop.

The estate was founded over a century ago by Jean-Louis Geniest, heir to a family of coopers and ropemakers active on the banks of the Rhône since the 18th century. In 1909, he acquired the Maison Vigneronne in Châteauneuf-du-Pape to vinify the grapes from his land around Mas Saint-Louis. The winemaking vats, rebuilt at the time, are still in use today.
Jean-Louis's work was continued by his son Gabriel, then by his grandson Louis Geniest (1909-1990), who expanded and restructured the vineyard to form a cohesive estate of over 30 hectares. His son Jean, a renowned lawyer, continued to make it prosper, and today it is managed by his wife, Monique Geniest, with an emphasis on modernization, respect for the soil, and sustainable farming practices.
