The Château de Peyrel regained its vocation as a vineyard in 2013, hence the name of one of its "Renaissance" vintages, in order to celebrate the resumption of the wine business. Located northwest of Bergerac, the castle was discontinued in the 1950s. The estate, which originally consisted of 600 hectares of vineyards, was sold to several owners.
