Dégustation privée
Selection cellar Maison des Millésimes Paris
2008, a very big year for Champagne!
For this vintage, the house wanted to offer “A wine of expression, rich in emotions, with incomparable brilliance”.
During vinification, very few sulphites were added, 4% of the wines are aged in wood for 9 months for a vinous structure, and aged on lees for more than 10 years (Brut dosage at 3 g/l).
A rich, complex and subtly aromatic wine.
The palate is tense and mineral, characterized by a lively attack in a
silky vinosity, finely structured and woody. A nice freshness on the finish.

Established in 1859, Duval-Leroy is a family-run French heritage house and the only Grande Maison de Champagne on the Côte des Blancs. It has been innovating for over 160 years. Based in Vertus (Village Premier Cru) since time immemorial, the House produces vintages with a strong character. Julien, Charles & Louis Duval-Leroy now run the House. On a daily basis, the vineyard manager advocates respect for the environment, favouring tillage over the systematic use of chemical plant protection products.
As a result of this integrated winegrowing policy, the House has been awarded, among other things, the ‘Haute Valeur Environnementale level 3’ and ‘Viticulture Durable’ labels, making it a benchmark in the Champagne region in terms of respect for the ecological environment of its vineyards. Under the iron hand of Sandrine Logette-Jardin, the House's long-standing cellar master, the vinifications today shine through their regularity and brilliance. Respect for the consumer is at the heart of our attention to detail, with strict limits on inputs (0 animal proteins, minimal sulphites, low added sugar content), and this is reflected in the comfort with which the wines are enjoyed.
